Abstract

Banjir merupakan suatu bencana alam yang memberi impak negatif kepada mangsa bencana sama ada aspek fisikal mahupun mental. Peristiwa banjir 2022 yang berlaku di Kampung Air Putih, Kemaman, Terengganu tercatat sebagai bencana yang paling dahsyat selepas kejadian tahun 2013 di kawasan tersebut. Namun begitu tidak semua mangsa bencana memiliki daya tahan (resilience) semasa menghadapi bencana mahupun selepasnya. Oleh itu, kajian ini mencuba meneroka kedaya tahanan (resilience) mangsa pasca bencana banjir di Kampung Air Putih Kemaman, Terengganu. Kajian ini telah dijalankan pada September 2023. Kajian ini dilakukan menggunakan reka bentuk kualitatif iaitu pengumpulan data melalui kaedah temubual. Sejumlah 20 orang informan telah ditemubual menggunakan protokol temubual yang dibentuk berdasarkan teori dan kajian lepas. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil kajian mendapati elemen resilience yang dimiliki oleh mangsa bencana pada tahap yang cukup tinggi kerana telah terbiasa dengan keadaan banjir sehingga mereka telah kalis dengan peristiwa berlaku. Namun terdapat juga segelintir yang rendah memandangkan keadaan tersebut sentiasa berulang dan terlalu penat dengan keadaan. Kajian ini boleh dijadikan panduan bagi kerajaan tempatan dalam mengukuhkan polisi berkaitan dengan kepentingan daya tahan (resilience) bagi menghadapi banjir besar di masa hadapan.
