SOROTAN KAJIAN TERJEMAHAN DAN KECERDASAN BUATAN (AI): TINJAUAN LITERATUR NARATIF
STUDIES ON TRANSLATION AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI): A NARRATIVE LITERATURE REVIEW

Dengan kemajuan teknologi moden, pelbagai aplikasi digital boleh digunakan oleh penterjemah untuk memudahkan proses terjemahan. Kemunculan aplikasi Kecerdasan Buatan (dikenali sebagai AI) telah memperluas bidang terjemahan dengan ketara. Malah, dikatakan bahawa AI menunjukkan keupayaan untuk menangkap nuansa budaya dan memberikan terjemahan yang lebih tepat dari segi konteks. Integrasi Kecerdasan Buatan (AI) dalam bidang terjemahan telah menarik perhatian dalam penyelidikan terkini yang mengkaji potensi dan cabaran teknologi terjemahan berasaskan AI. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah tinjauan literatur naratif (narrative literature review) yang memanfaatkan kaedah yang diutarakan melalui kajian lepas dengan meneliti, membaca, menganalisis, dan merumuskan kajian lepas yang membincangkan isu terjemahan dan AI. Carian kajian lepas yang diterbitkan dalam tempoh sepuluh tahun terakhir dilakukan melalui aplikasi Google Scholar berdasarkan kata kunci dan kriteria pemilihan yang telah ditetapkan. Sebanyak 17 kajian lepas antara tahun 2021-2024 ditemukan. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa terdapat tiga pokok utama perbincangan dalam kajian lepas yang diperoleh, iaitu: pertama; kesan AI terhadap terjemahan, kedua; integrasi AI dalam terjemahan dan ketiga; perbandingan antara penterjemah manusia dan AI. Walaupun kehadiran AI dalam bidang terjemahan sedikit sebanyak menggugat peranan penterjemah manusia, namun peranan manusia dalam bidang terjemahan tidak boleh diketepikan kerana AI juga tidak terlepas daripada kekurangan dan kelemahan. Oleh itu, gabungan antara penterjemah manusia dan AI merupakan satu pilihan yang tepat untuk menghasilkan karya terjemahan yang berkualiti tinggi.
